It takes a village and we're here as a part of your community to be an extension of your family you so carefully nurture and care for unconditionally. We bridge the gap between kids in need and caring grandparents through meaningful relationships in a supportive community, enriching lives through lasting connections guided by loving volunteers.
We also provide networking time and space for parents to connect, chat and share experiences if interested!
Our program is built to be fun, beneficial, local, and full of the joy of shared stories and laughter. We build lasting connections with loving volunteers who engage in fun, enrich minds and create moments of joy of as we make a difference in a whole new way.
We are currently accepting children ages 4 to 10 from foster families and at-risk/underserved families with kids in need of some extra nurturing.
Contact us today if you are a foster parent, single parent, or parents experiencing a difficult time whose kids could use some grandparenting, and you live in Yavapai County; find out more about our monthly events. We are here to be a positive influence and connection to your extended family in all we are doing. It is with love we want to connect.
This is strictly for fun and learning with grandparent type volunteers. Kids won’t be transported to another location, all events and activities, with the exception of any events at the local library, are at the standard location. Kids won’t be working on regular school projects nor have academic goals to achieve.
No we are not trained nor equipped to handle the needs of foster children that have therapeutic requirements.
Unfortunately not, we believe our program age spans are enough of a difference that already requires many different types of activities. We aren’t equipped for much younger children, nor do we have programs that could appeal to much older children.
We appreciate it if the parents are willing to stay for at least the first hour the first time the child is participating to ensure the child feels secure and safe and happy at our event. It isn’t mandatory but preferred for the first time. We also provide a parent networking room if you are interested!
Yes, you may certainly pick up your child earlier and please let us know when you drop off your child that this will occur and who will be picking them up, if you know this in advance. All contact information must be on the form with an alternative phone number so that we may contact the parent for an early pick up if needed. All parents/kids must sign in and sign out each visit as well.
